Applying to the Five-Year Graduate School Preparatory Program

Students interested in joining the Five-Year Graduate School Preparatory Program (GSP Program) are required to have a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA, and to submit the Five-Year Program Application no earlier than the second semester of their sophomore year and no later than the second semester of their junior year.

Candidates can download the Five-Year Program Application, or pick one up at the Graduate Admission Office (LaCava 295) during normal business hours.

Applications for admission to the GSP Program are reviewed by the Graduate Admission Office throughout the year.

Candidates can expect to receive notification regarding their application status within two to three weeks of submitting a Five-Year Program Application.

Attention Late Applicants: Students who wish to be considered for the GSP Program after the stated deadline should review the procedures outlined in the Late Applicant Policy.

Additional Information

Here are two questions frequently asked by
Five-Year GSP Program students.

“Once I’m admitted to the GSP Program, it means I’m automatically admitted to the McCallum Graduate School, right?”

No, the Five-Year Program Application is the form a student completes to become enrolled in the GSP Program – i.e. to become a Five-Year Program student. But the same student will be required to submit a Transition Form (application) and supporting documentation to the Graduate Admission Office (located in LaCava 295) during the final term of their senior year in order to gain admission to the Bentley McCallum Graduate School of Business.

Review the Transitioning into McCallum section of this web site for more information regarding the procedures a Five-Year student needs to follow if they want to apply for and be accepted into the McCallum Graduate School after completing an undergraduate degree.

“What should I do if I want to pursue a different graduate degree - other than the one I listed on my Five-Year Program Application? Can I change programs?”

Yes, a student is not obligated to pursue the graduate degree indicated on their Five-Year Program Application when they elect to transition into the McCallum Graduate Business School. The student can indicate a different graduate program on their Transition Form.

A GSP Program student who decides to change graduate programs should review the internship policy that appears on the first page of the GSP Program web site to see if the new graduate program they intend to pursue has an internship requirement.
