Planning Your Schedule

Program requirements for all of the degree programs offered through the McCallum Graduate School of Business are reviewed regularly and are subject to change. This ensures that every graduate program is up-to-date with the current demands of business and the results are reflected in a program’s planning guide.

Students enrolled in the Five-Year Graduate School Preparatory (GSP) Program are encouraged to complete the General Business Core Requirements (i.e. GB 101, 102, 103, 201, 202, 203, 210, 301 and 401) to maximize their options when selecting graduate courses. This will also provide the student with a strong business foundation needed to make the most of the graduate classroom experience.

Pre-program and Foundation Course Requirements:
Many (but not all) of the programs offered in the McCallum Graduate School of Business require two Pre-Program Foundation Courses (PPF 501-Statistics and PPF 502-Economics) as well as two Program Foundation Modules: PF Module I (Accounting, Finance and Management) and PF Module II (Marketing and Operations).

Under the Bentley Portfolio 360 Policy, a Five-Year Program student who receives a Bachelor of Business Administration degree satisfies these requirements (i.e. PPF 501 and 502, as well as PF Modules I
and II).

Program Planning Guides

The Program Planning Guides were developed to help a Five-Year GSP Program student to learn more about the various graduate programs that are available to them. Each guide contains the following information:

General Program Description

Status of Internship Requirement

Status of “Summer-to-Summer” Option

List of Required Classes and Graduate Electives (including the pre- and co-requisites)

Follow these steps…

Step #1: Select a graduate program you are considering for
the 5th year.

Step #2: Review the courses that are required for your graduate degree as well as the electives that are available to you.

Step #3: Develop a plan as to how you want to complete your Masters and be sure to take into account when graduate courses
are usually offered.

Review the current schedule of Projected Future Course Offerings listed in the current Registration Information and Schedule Book to learn which terms your required graduate courses and electives are usually offered.

The Projected Future Course Offerings are tentative and are subject to change by the McCallum Graduate School without notice.

Step #4: Finally, determine if you are eligible to take a graduate course(s) during your final semester in the Undergraduate College so you can begin your graduate program early. Please carefully review the What is a Blended Term? page for more information.
