Center for Languages and International Collaboration
In a world that gets more interconnected every day, the Center for Languages and International Collaboration (CLIC, pronounced “click”) builds awareness of countries and cultures across the globe. CLIC is a key resource for language students, international studies majors, and anyone with an interest in international issues.
The center's “global theater” includes plasma screens and videoconference technology to promote real-time collaboration among Bentley students and professors and their counterparts overseas. Satellite connections allow live broadcast of international news and feature programs.
At clustered computer workstations, students have access to multimedia language programs and web-based resources to tackle course assignments independently or in small groups. All computers connect to the college network and the Internet; network ports located throughout the center let students plug in their laptops. In a workspace designed to resemble a bistro, students can practice foreign language conversation skills with a native speaker.
